Lifelong Texan. Here for the long haul.
It’s a shame the Houston mayor is anti-bike, because we could have this and use it year round.
Like a lot of cities it still has a long way to go but Boston is building some very nice bike infrastructure.

Start your morning with two minutes of the testimony of Samuel Garcia, an average American who drove 3 hours to speak truth to power to the Texas legislature. Let’s decide that we are all Samuel Garcia. Get in their faces and make them listen. Mr. Garcia is a great American.

Last night I said to my husband that media needs to start using these words: “Explain to me”. They let the Republicans and this administration just blather on. Thank you, NPR.
NPR's Michel Martin: And what did he engage in that constitutes terrorist activity?

DHS: I mean, have you watched it on TV? It's pretty clear.

Martin: Well, explain it to those of us who have not.

DHS: Well, I think it's clear or we wouldn't be talking about it.

I appreciate the hotel, taxi and food vouchers when we missed our connection due to weather, but I think I would give that all up for a night with my checked bag.

Trump still has no idea how 🇺🇸 education works. States do run “the schools”.

Also, Norway’s social safety net is much stronger, unions are valued, Finland has few private schools. Hyping their ed systems while pushing vouchers/privatization is… a choice. time.com/7201565/pers...

Although I’m a former student, I was and am pretty much a 2 percenter. But I was at A&M back in the SWC days and the A&M/Texas was the big deal. A student ticket was only $10 for the Texas game. And I saw R.E.M. on campus that month for the same price.

So one of my first and only Twitter posts was in 2016 about Pam Bondi and the corrupt trash she is. I may not share a lot on social media but I like to think that when I do, I’m spot on.

I know it’s naive, but there are days when I am absolutely floored at how poorly educated the majority of this country is.
