The game publisher that pumped out copypasta open worlds, protected sex abusers in its own workforce, and said "customers should get comfortable with not owning their games" is visibly imploding in real time.

And nothing of value was lost.

Okay, fuck posting what I actually WANTED to post, apparently. I tried three times to post an image with it, but every single time, it came up blank on Bluesky, and I have no fucking clue why. -_-'

I realize I've been pretty quiet the last week or so. And that'll probably continue because I'm about to hunker down and ride out what looks to be some pret-ty bad winter storms.

Good thing I'm prepared.

Bethesda has completely fallen from grace since Fallout 76, and I have absolutely no hope for its new games anymore. It's a damn good thing its old games are still playable and enjoyable.

Can you tell I've been playing Skyrim again? XD

Welp, I WAS gonna try to stream some Diamond tonight; even managed to figure out some scenes for it. However, there's still some backend stuff I need to do in order to capture per-application audio (because Linux), and it's already taken too long tonight, so I'm gonna try again another night.

Not gonna lie, I still wanna do a Pokémon Diamond RNG-manip stream at some point. I'm half-considering doing it tonight.

I'd still have to figure out how to fit things like PokéFinder and RNGTimer into a layout, but hey.

Guess it's about time for me to update one of my sayings:

Fuck Microslop.

Don't mind me, just getting sucked into Hades again.

Pokémon TCG Live is celebrating New Year as "Budew Year", complete with a coin, card sleeves, and costume pieces.

Not sure why they thought it'd be a good idea to base this on one of the most obnoxious and hated cards in the format, but sure, you do you, PTCGL.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but opposing GenAI is not about opposing technology, it's about opposing capitalists.

GenAI is not a technology: it's a massive automation of theft, masquerading as an industry, run by grifters.

Don't hate computers, hate the capitalists behind the curtain.

It took about three and a half years for this special to reach the US, and it turned out to be perhaps the messiest localization job in all of Pokémon. It's a shame, because the original version's really good.
Today is the 24th anniversary of The Legend of Thunder!, first premiered in Japan on December 30, 2001!

This made-for-TV movie follows Jimmy, Marina, and Vincent in their attempts to prevent Team Rocket from capturing Raikou.

It's long past time to leave the Nazi bar, and you'll have a much better time here. I updated this guide due to the influx of users fleeing Grok's new AI bullshit. Share widely for all the newcomers!

I got Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 for super-cheap in Steam's winter sale. Say what you will of those games, but I enjoy 'em enough, and my old PS3 won't work forever.

Sadly, these PC ports are... pretty bad. They're not unsalvageable, but they'll definitely be modding projects on my Steam Deck.

This little game is way better than it has any right to be (ESPECIALLY the soundtrack, holy crap), and the Japan-only sequel is even better!
Today is the 27th anniversary of Pokémon Trading Card Game, first released in Japan for the Game Boy Color on December 18, 1998!

The player must defeat the eight Club Masters, four Grand Masters, and the Champion.

Welp, Firefox is about to be flushed down the AI toilet, so I'm gonna have to flush it down the "uninstall" toilet. I hope I can find a decent non-Chromium browser to replace it with.

Speaking of AI, I'm deeply disappointed in Larian Studios too.

Bandai Namco's big Steam sale gave me a reminder of why I tend to be leery towards Bandai Namco.

I just checked out Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival. On one hand, it seems like a genuinely fun rhythm game.

On the other hand... holy fucking SHIT, that DLC.

I heard The Game Advertisements™ ended with a thud of a game reveal, and upon looking at the game, Highguard, I instantly thought... this is gonna be another Concord, isn't it?

Seriously, why do they keep pumping out live-service hero shooters when they keep flopping and closing left and right?

I've got Skyrim on my Steam Deck. It's about 15 GB, runs at 60 FPS no problem, and feels nice and responsive.

Meanwhile, the Switch 2 port is more than triple the size (~53 GB), capped at 30 FPS, and has a quarter-second of input delay? What the fuck, Bethesda?
