I thought you should know that in 2024 New Jersey, Minnesota, Illinois, California, and Maryland have all enacted legislation that bans book bans & censorship in both, school and public libraries, and protects librarians.

Given that they lost the White House, the Senate, AND failed to recapture the House, you could reasonably think the Democrats would try a different strategy than their usual gerontocratic approach. And when AOC launched a bid for a key congressional post, it looked like there was a chance.

Maybe Democrats need to get angry. Ignore rules/norms. Swear like sailors while telling truth. Will it offend some folks? Sure. But it’ll get their attention.
