A digital sketchbook. Probably pictures of baked goods. She/they.
Made it in under the wire with my mom’s final Xmas gift. Took me about 10 hours but a lot of that was remaking pieces while I figured out what shape I wanted the body to be #crochet #christmas #crafts

Why must I work when all I really want to do is watch birds sing?

My favorite editing trick is accidentally deleting what I was writing on my phone with no way to recover it. My brain cuts out all the extra words in a scramble to remember and it ends up being much more streamlined and coherent when I type it out a second time.

My friends’ toddler loves to be read to, and one of her favorites right now is The Mitten by Jan Brett.

I had already bought the little mouse as her Christmas gift. This morning I had a brainwave

Finally letting myself be done. This was one of those pieces that rolled out easily at first and was a huge struggle to complete.

Pulling myself up and out of the pre-holiday funk. Rearranging my indoor garden always feels like a refresh.

Slightly bummed to learn that I need a CPAP and feeling a little unsexy about it.

But my sleep study did prove that I don’t snore, so I got that going for me, which is nice

I’ve decided to be done. I can’t bear any more blending. Also I ate the pomegranate.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that your tape measures will disappear, even when you bought four to put in every possible place you might store them.

I thought I would spend *just* 10 minutes before bed sketching. I started this just after 11:00… couldn’t stop once I was on a roll and bedtime ended up being 1:00. (Worth it?)

Trying to break out of my comfort zone with color and digital painting.

Considering how often I use this brush (never), I think I did okay!

Where do we go when we are beyond hope? A climate scientist reflects on the courage we need to accept that we must continue to pursue solutions, even in the face of failure.

I’m going to focus on reconnecting with myself and doing activities I value. One of those is drawing, which I don’t do often and never share (outside of a couple close friends).

Here’s my most recent completed sketch. I’m going to work on a new one after I get some much needed sleep.
