A baby’s immune system is ready for the hepatitis B vaccine as soon as they are born, and giving newborns the first dose vaccine within 24 hours of birth (with additional doses at 1-2 months and 6-18 months) remains the best protection against serious health problems like liver disease and cancer.

The American Academy of Pediatrics joined fellow medical leaders in a new op-ed in @statnews.com with a clear, urgent message: Vaccines work—and they save lives. www.statnews.com/2025/06/26/v...
We will not stay silent on vaccines, say leaders of five major U.S. medical associations
“We cannot and will not gamble with our patients’ health or the health of our communities,” write the presidents of the AAFP, AAP, ACP, ACOG, and IDSA.

8 year-old in clinic today:

Me: “Are you nervous?” (ready to tell her it’s OK to be nervous)
Patient (immediately and matter-of-factly): “Of course not. Doctors are here to help us.”

YES, exactly.
Can we make her the head of HHS please?

Alarmingly, RFK Jr has been confirmed.

The lone Republican vote against him? Senator Mitch McConnell, a polio survivor.

“Everyone who serves with me on the Food and Drug Administration’s vaccine advisory committee is a vaccine skeptic. Pharmaceutical companies must prove to us that a vaccine is safe, that it’s effective.” From Paul Offit, MD:

Just a reminder that in 2019, RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine misinformation campaign helped cause a measles outbreak in Samoa that killed 83 people, mostly kids.

Do you really want him to lead the Department of Health and Human Services?

"Skeleton Crew" (s01e01), visual effects supervisor John Knoll.

ILM VFX supervisor Eddie Pasquarello, layout by John Levin, environment by Wen Sun, Neel animation by Amy Lavey, Neel lighting by Gerald Gutschmidt, paint by Alan Travis, compositing by Todd Vaziri.
Kelly says that in about HALF of all #SkeletonCrew shots, however, the Neel puppet was either augmented digitally or replaced entirely, depending on the storytelling needs.

In this shot from episode one, for example, Kelly says Neel’s head is 100% digital.
