Now that I’m starting my own consulting gig—I see my cohort fam and my colleagues also doing it all over the place. We are all doing it. My wife pointed out that it’s because we are no longer being hired because our knowledge isn’t valued. Woof.

It's no secret there are many days when I regret going to UT Austin. It's a terrible time for LGBTQIA+ people everywhere, especially Texas. I knew things were bad when our dean resigned but DAMN pledging loyalty to the Trump administration and calling it an honor? something else entirely.
