My mother-in-law expressed concern over my safety, re: fed racial profiling. I'm fairly independent and don't do everything with my spouse.

On the one hand, it's very considerate.

On the other hand, I'm unclear if she has used her whiteness or money to support efforts to stop the behavior.

So, 🤷🏽‍♀️
