Palestinians get banned from this site for expressing anger at people who are gloating over the murder of their families.

People like this get to celebrate their death and suffering.

Nazis on a Nazi site. There are many good people here but let's not kid ourselves about what this place is.

One of the "principles" underlying the model is that the private sector is more efficient than the public. Since Thatcher, most politicians accept this as holy writ.
But I & many others who worked in both sectors know it's bollocks. Corporate leaders are like civil servants, just greedier & thicker.

Even now, we watch as 1.3 million Palestinians endure a precarious existence in tents ravaged by winter floods. We share the screams of mothers, the hollowed-out faces of broken fathers, and the haunted stares of children, and yet, the world’s political and moral institutions remain paralyzed.

What a horrible man Simon Harris is
He really is the pits targeting the vulnerable through his lies & gaslighting
A man whose party policies have enabled homeless crisis, vacancy & dereliction epidemic & housing crisis
He really has no shame

Your argument has merit given the status quo. The effort we as a nation made to put a man on the moon should be focused on the education of ALL Americans. 54% of us read below a 6th grade level. 12% believe Joan of Arc was married to Noah. Critical thinkers didn't vote for tRump.

I'm asking John - and indeed all journalists - as a new year resolution to stop comparisons with a national economy and a household budget.

How many years have to go by until we can have coherent conversations in the media about the economy?

We all know Holyrood isn’t sovereign and can be overridden by Westminster at any time.

Yet despite 4 of 6 Holyrood parties being Westminster-owned, the Scottish Parliament has been pro-independence for 14 years.

Westminster parties have no place in Scotland’s Parliament.

You should expect this year in Britain will involve ever-greater convergence upon these forms of increasingly Mein Kampfy authoritarian cruelty into a single, incoherent shared ideology within our political/media class, because that is where we have been going at increasing speed since roughly 2001.

Again: they thought they’d win a shattering court victory with the Harry Potter lady’s money, then the public would rise up in gratitude, salute them as heroes and stomp all over transgender people on their behalf. That hasn’t happened, because the public mostly aren’t vicious cranks, like they are.

I urge people to note that when they say “politics” they mean “continuing to enforce the Thatcherite consensus with a thin veneer of public consent”; that these things are the same thing, to them, and that a lot of very nasty people have big ideas about what must be done, if “politics is broken”.
