I'm convinced at this point that Punk only came to AEW because he knew he'd get a call from WWE, and once he did that's when the whole meltdown leading up to Brawl Out and The Perry Tape started to brew so they'd have a reason to release him.

I hate that title reigns are measured in days. That is quite possibly the stupidest way to measure. It should be measured in successful defenses.
I think time alone as the measure of what makes a successful title reign is, at best, very incomplete. Roman Reigns had a 1000+ day run and I don't think any AEW fan is gonna tell you that the content of that run was superior in quality to any AEW champion's.
It does seem a little disingenuous to call a run "short" when he had quality successful defenses against Mox, MJF, Fletcher, Hobbs, and Joe. That seems like a decent run on paper. Are folks gonna feel better about the run if he'd sat around with the belt 3-6 more months before losing it?
