I don't know who needs to hear this, but government agencies are not supposed to turn a profit. Especially when they are delivering critical services. The media parroting the "Canada Post is hemorrhaging money" line are fundamentally misrepresenting the issue.

The amazing thing about Milei collapsing the Argentinian economy is how strongly economists keep glazing the guy as if his policies are quite strong actually, but that the rest of the world are just not ready for them yet.

I think that one of the fundamental reasons why Trump is so bad at foreign policy is that he doesn't understand how a leader could care about their people.
For him, if someone were to destroy military assets and kill US soldiers, he would see it as the cost of doing business.

So...to placate Trump, Carney is undermining Canadian's civil liberties, looking to spend $150Bn a year on the military when out education and health systems are dramatically under-funded...and refuses to call out blatant war crimes committed by the US.

Assuming that the cease-fire holds between Israel and Iran...all these 12 days of death proved is that Israel's defenses are not what they were advertised to be. The US and Israel's strike capabilities were shown to be overstated...as were the US' missile defenses.
