Feels like it all gets wrapped up in this infantilizing miasma of miniskirts and sweaters, cliches exist for a reason (shoutout dysphoria hoodie), but if we’re fully realized adults who simply have a range of experiences writers have to actually think about our lives, which they seem to hate doing

I love these and share them with my partner, for a while when I was starting e we matched body types with hitch and hitomi, and looking at them now feels kinda like giving that past version of me love too. Gorgeous art as always <3

BREAKING NEWS CONSUMER'S HANDBOOK 1. In the immediate aftermath, news outlets will get it wrong. 2. Don't trust anonymous sources. 3. Don't trust stories that cite another news outlet as the source of the information. 4. There's almost never a second shooter. 5. Pay attention to the language the media uses. • "We are getting reports".. could mean anything. • "We are seeking confirmation".. means they don't have it. • "[News outlet] has learned". means it has a scoop or is going out on limb. 6. Look for news outlets close to the incident. 1. Compare multiple sources. 8. Big news brings out the fakers. And photoshoppers. 9. Beware reflexive retweeting. Some of this is on you. Reads the following "A Chasm is Not a Boundary When you're first experimenting with having boundaries it's not unusual to confuse a boundary with a cut-off. "I won't speak to Jordan any more; she never respects or validates me!" Anica says triumphantly to her therapist. "I'm finally getting some boundaries." That's not a boundary. That's a cut-off, which is another way of having connection with someone that comes at a price. Cut-offs seem to work fine, in that they rid you of the particular problematic relationship. Then they don't work at all, because they prevent you from developing the skill of having a boundary and staying connected at the same time. It's easy to meditate in a cave; it's much harder to do so in a room full of distractions. The skills for having emotionally healthy relationships can only develop in the contact sport of a relationship itself. It may sometimes be necessary for survivors who've not had much by way of boundaries to swing far to the other side of the continuum. You might find that you need to temporarily become harsh in your bottom lines. People frequently need to experience both sides of a continuum to develop a middle ground."
