All those so called fines @Ofwat
announces, turnouts they're not, they're "proposals", guess how much actually gets paid? Answer 👇
When is a fine not a fine?
When it is levied on England's water companies.

Aug 2024: OFWAT announced £168m fine on 3 companies. ZERO Paid.

Dec 2024: £18m fine on Thames Water for paying unjustified dividends. ZERO Paid.

Regulatory indulgence emboldens companies, encourages more abuses.
The water industry shows how the state indulges corporations to the detriment of society
Since 1989, water companies have been the subject of over 1,100 criminal convictions, but governments are content for them to control the industry.

MPs are debating whether Musk's antics amount to 'foreign interference.'

If the FT's revelations are anything to go by, there is little doubt...

Only someone with no understanding of liberal history would treat fact-checking and free speech as a binary opposition. The whole point of free speech is that it gets us closer to the truth. Where free speech has no purchase in the truth, its purpose collapses.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳
