Pay attention to which premiers are defending the notwithstanding clause. They want to violate your rights.

Apparently DHS includes the Ghostbusters (which tracks, honestly).
simonm223.bsky.social
As long as the notwithstanding clause exists Canadians have no rights.

I would love to buy a copy despite never having even bought a Batman comic before.

My single Red Hood issue was the 15th best-selling comic of September, like out of all serialized comics in America. Incredibly funny.

Libs fawn over him for his hard-line opinions about Xinjiang and then get confused when he suggests Bad Bunny doing the Superbowl halftime show is the Great Replacement

Drew Pavlou should be such an informative example that most hard-line anticommunists are weirdo far-right CHUDS.

I wish pollsters would poll for confidence in answers

I hate it too but pretending like only 1% of people are TERFy won't help us win.
simonm223.bsky.social
Folks, you all are reading that Nanos poll wrong. That's change in sentiment since the last poll, not overall numbers. For instance, 45.5% of Canadians polled support or weakly support banning trans kids from sport, compared to 44.8% who opposed or weakly opposed a ban. A change of +1% support.

Please Americans do this.

Family pick: I like Chinese-set period piece mystery stories, my wife likes palace intrigue stories and my daughter, the engineer, enjoys shows about a feisty gremlin girl who likes chemistry.

What about the labeling through The Hive? Were you lying then or did you just decide to start offloading moderation to a chatbot recently?

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.

So an anime girl with prosthetics was labeled "explicit sexual content", & then we learn that prosthetics are commonly labeled this way, & then we learn that automod has been outsourced to this ai company, & THEN we learn that the ai company might be using all our images to train ai & mods go silent

I have watched my talented, ethical friends lose their jobs because Nazi fuckups like Weiss siphon all the money out of the room and use it to create propaganda mills where sycophants tell the Führer and his thugs they're so special and brave and everyone loves them
asherelbein.bsky.social
No shit I'm furious. I spent eleven years learning to write well about complex topics in ethical ways, often for criminally low rates, because I believe that work's important. It's deeply insulting to see a total dipshit get fabulously wealthy for telling the rich what they want to hear!

The Bluesky Head of Trust & Safety admitting that all posted images are processed through an AI autolabeller that presumably employees have no access to or control over? (And probably steals every image to be used in an AI “art” generator, who knows?)

Seriously, this is outrageously irresponsible.

And there it is. I've been wondering when we'd find out the ostrich farm was a grift.
windward-afa.bsky.social
Some insight into part of the grift running at Universal Ostrich Farms:

- Convince other farms to buy breeding hens ($45,000 for 6 birds in 2017)
- Promise to buy back chicks at $3/lb live weight

Turns out some of the ostriches on the farm are owned by others. Oops.
