Behind a paywall, but don’t bother whipping out the credit card. The Telegraph used to be a respectable paper notwithstanding its rightward slant. This is terrible journalism following their evidence-free editorial policy.

Today I always think of two people in particular. My grandfather, who barely survived WWI having contracted assorted illnesses while serving with the Jewish Legion in the Jordan Valley. Also my grandmother’s cousin Barnett Schiff, aged 19 killed in France in 1917, memorialised in Arras.
