Reverting to the old way I used to plan for #writing. In case anyone is interested, you'll need: a binder, loose prepunched paper, a notebook, and notecards. I make a cover to go on the outside of the binder in the front pocket and then assemble. Everything I want in the story goes in the binder 😊

I CAN NOT stand it when I'm casually browsing places, and I see people genuinely seeking #writing advice to be told to just "write it" instead of people offering to help them with what they are needing. Not everything is as simple as just writing it. Not everyone can stare at a page or force it out.

Taking a break on one story to work on another. It's refreshing to step in the shoes of another character, especially when it's a character whose story I've wanted to tell for a while. #writing #WritingCommmunity

The first draft is almost halfway done. I don't believe this will meet the requirements for a standard novel word count, but that is ok! Word count doesn't tell a captivating story, and my favorite saying has always been quality, not quantity. #writing #writingcommunity

Just giggled for a few minutes after writing something I didn't think was that funny. However, I guess when your MC is claiming that he's just an ordinary guy and not some hero in a fantasy novel, it becomes comical. Idk, maybe I'm losing my mind 🤣 I'm still laughing #writing ##WritingCommmunity

When reading other people's posts where they share snippets of what they've written, I find myself getting discouraged. I don't write as poetically as they do. Then I tell myself why should I worry about writing like someone else when we all have our own unique style. #writing #WritingCommmunity

My main character needs a boot in his rear. Why does he have to be blinded by what could be, and why does it take tragedy to make him realize it after it's too late? 😒😭

Fretting about word count will do nothing but set you back. I like to think of my stories as writing skeletons. Focus on getting it written. Then you can go back and add meat and flesh to it. #writing #WritingCommmunity #writinglife #amwriting

The onset anger I get when people can't use a turn signal. It's not a hard task... just do it.
I don't know who needs to hear this (that's a lie: ~80% of drivers) but when you're in a turn lane or an exit only lane, you should still signal to confirm to those around you that you are aware of the lane you're in and where it's about to go.

I've noticed that worrying about chapter lengths and proper grammar does nothing more than distract me from storytelling. It's a hard reminder when I have to tell myself that nobody writes a perfect first draft. #writing
