New Tron Movie is a lot of loud music and special effects in search of a plot. Ryan George is going to have a field day with this one.

It's the third best Tron movie ever made.

Well…that was the LOUDEST movie I’ve ever seen. Fun, but mix the music down so I can hear the dialogue a little better.
sinister42.bsky.social
Seven. Goddamn. Previews. And. Counting.

Can I just see the movie I came here to see?? Pretty please?

Thanks @greethewriter.bsky.social! Find all my stuff at writesinister.substack.com. I'm working on a collaborative horror story with new chapters released on Mondays. Each chapter ends with a poll where you can decide what happens next, and then I have to write it! #horrorwriterschat

And black fingers stabbed your feet like spears
and dragged you through a dark expanse
To a charred and broken ancient manse
And placed upon your head a crown
And adorned you in a blackened gown
And there you danced, and there you died
And there became the charred ones' bride.

Come forth, Baron Crescendo! Let your guitar split the sky open, for more wraiths to dazzle us!

Behold, a note from him, for you!

“The moment you entered the graveyard, the scrape of ancient stone shadowed your ears.”

Finish it! With word of rhyme, before we dance to the end!

Art by Jelle Husson, featuring a haunted monastery of many sharp-tipped towers scraping at the midnight sky. The largest is in the centre of the structure’s roof, whose walls are painted white. The monastery is located above a hilly terrain of dark stone and dark green moss. A stony, twisting road leads to the monastery.

Question Four

There he is! Baron Crescendo! Oh how the skies split open to his guitar, how more of us fly in the air! And look, a note from him, just for you!

“The moment you entered the graveyard, the scrape of ancient stone shadowed your ears.”

Well? Go on! Word or rhyme, continue his Muse!

I'm always going to support people who mix sci-fi and horror! #horrorwriterschat
jneiraauthor.bsky.social
I don't have lots of experience writing either, because my horror often has sci-fi origins: rogue AI, cosmic parasite, etc. With an occasional human slasher. I DID publish a short fantasy story featuring the fairy Yallery Brown (in The Fables Next Door) so there are exceptions!

I am not in need of editing services at the moment, but perhaps you (being someone reading this) are looking for such services.

A table detailing all of my editing services. Basic Edits, which include Voice & Tone Consistency, Proofreading, and Line Editing is priced at 30 Euros per 1000 words. Advanced Edits, which includes Basic stuff in addition to Structural Editing and Review & Critique is priced at 40 Euros per 1000 words. Finally, Complex Edits, which includes the previous two sections alongside Section Rewriting and Developmental Editing, is priced at 50 Euros per 1000 words. First page of my FAQ. The text goes as follows:

What content can you edit?

Anything, as long as I’m sufficiently compensated! Both fantasy and sci-fi, but I specialise much more in the former. Most of my experience comes from short stories, but I can also edit books and scripts!

Where can you be contacted?

On BlueSky, Discord, and Mastodon! (Under Gree_) I can also be contacted through DM’s on LinkedIN and Fiverr.

What aren’t you willing to edit?

Anything discriminatory, as well as content including rape and torture. Content augmented by any generative AI is an immediate no from me as well. Second page of my FAQ. The text reads as follows:

What will you require of me?

I will require a detailed brief! Themes, genres, content warnings, and what kind of editing you’re looking from me.

How can I pay you?

Through bank account and PayPal! Details will be discussed privately. I will require upfront payments, as well as editor credits, and recommendations if you use websites such as LinkedIN and Fiverr. I’ll be demanding no royalties if your work is going to be commercial.

Q2: #HorrorWritersChat
Abandoned spaces are creepy, sure; unnatural darkness doesn’t feel safe—someone or THING could be in that back corner…

But unexplored wilderness hides so much more. Flora and fauna eager to kill and eat you, and the ghosts of their ancestors ready to drag you into the loam.

Ghosts are like cats and haunt wherever they please. I prefer to find them in ancient ruins, gloomy streets and hidden alleys. Or anywhere good chocolate is sold. #horrorwriterschat

Hello #HorrorWritersChat, my name is Rami Ungar, I write horror and dark fantasy, I'm from Ohio in the deep, dark out that the USA is slowly becoming. And I'm coming in the form of a guy wearing a Cthulhu onesie. Which I will wear tonight when I'm chilling after work.

Also, I will point out that both original Ghostbusters movies have some *really scary scenes*. G2 - the train? The heads? Nightmares.

And yes, you can escape Samara/Sadako's curse, but only by cursing someone else. That still counts as inescapable.
sinister42.bsky.social
I like ghosts you can't escape. Inevitable ghosts that, once you're in their thrall, you're irrevocably doomed. Sadako/Samara (The Ring) and Kayako and Toshio (The Grudge) are good examples. That's scarier to me than any ghost that can be "busted." #horrorwriterschat

It is always a delight to see our violinists perform! How the living bend their splintering bones as they float above us all! Tell us, our ghostly compatriots – which of us are better? Of the folkloric kind? Or invented by our shadowy creators?

Trees drink souls that linger on crossroads. Their branches block the path to Heaven, their roots entangle the road to Hell. And so spirits linger, and so they are consumed.

#HorrorWritersChat Ghosts belong in the liminal spaces next to comforting ones. The hallways of your house. Between the trees in the forest. Just behind you in the stark sunlight of a summer morning. This is my favorite spot for them, because you feel safe and secure. It's an illusion ripped away.

I'd have to go with the movie that scared me the most out of every movie ever. The best place for a ghost is in a creepy old well beneath a cabin. Or coming out of a television. #horrormoviechat
