Hi, I'm Nauta. I like to take photos of things, mostly squirrels. I collect and shoot a myriad of cameras, film and digital, old and new. I also enjoy biking to a great extent, coffee even more so, and spending time with my friends. If you like my photos or just want to say hello, please feel free.

One of the biggest anxiety triggers of mine is having planned (and in this case paid) for an event months ahead of time and finding out the one day I need to travel long distance for it, the forecast is for a bunch of snow and shitty roads.
Now I gotta decide if the risk is worth the money I'm out.

I haven't spoken to my dad since last Thanksgiving when we had a big argument over how he disrespect me but expects me to show him respect. I called out his hypocracy and left in the middle of dinner. I haven't heard from him since.
Am I a bad person because i don't want to see him this year?

I'm very tired and sore but at least I don't feel like a terrible person. I just feel terrible.

The challenge of photo editing sometimes comes down to the most subtle things like preserving the range of colours in highlights where making just slight changes the wrong way can destroy the gentle transition of hues.

I cleared off a shelf of my bookcase for more Lego models so I can build some of the dozens I've kept under my bed for months/years over the holiday breaks.
In addition to the ones in the photo I have the Ecto-1 full size model, the NES, the Milano from GotG, and the large Ferrari F40 to build.

I think I'm going to sell my Canon R7. I haven't used it much since buying the R6 and it's still the best APS-C Canon makes and thus too valuable to leave sitting around.
Mine's in excellent/like new cond, includes original box, all accessories, 40k actuations (200k shutter life)
$1200 OBO local.

Maybe I'll consider going back to Fur Squared next year. It's been eight years since I last went, and it's small, close and directly opposite FM in the year.

Are there any folks who are staff for other cons who could get me an audience with folks in charge of programming for dance comps? I am not sure which cons would allow a new photographer at the front and center but I'm guessing it wouldn't be any of the big ones.
