En 1983 se publica Hell's Temple para el computador Oric, realmente una versión casi idéntica del Donjon para Microtan.

El juego entretiene un rato, pero resulta demasiao repetitivo y difícil (por su aleatoriedad) como para tratar de terminarlo.

Spellbound

This game is bloody hard. This game is still bloody brilliant. I loves it, I do. #C64 SB is a cracking romp and has one of my favourite SID tunes playing throughout (BELOW). You have to manage all the characters' stats and do all sorts. I really should give it a proper go!

The c racking loading screen for the C64 conversion of "Spellbound". Massive-footed and massive-headed Magic Knight, is in a blue suit of armour and weirdly giving a thuimps up to a bumbling wizard in green and yellow starred robes and pointy hat. The wizard has his finger outstretched, not unlike E.T. and particles of magic are zorbing from thumb to finger. It's a VERY well known loading screen this. Glorious.

A 1982 ad for Crypt of the Undead, an adventure with light RPG elements for PC platforms by Marc Benioff

Trapped in a graveyard with no idea of how you ended up there, you'll need to avoid, or fight, "Vampires, Zombies, and Werewolves" in trying to escape! Fortunately, there are healing bagels.

The game's text describes your predicament when "SUDDENLY you awaken in a coffin surrounded by a vast graveyard. YOU MUST GET OUT BEFORE DAWN!" while in the background, a werewolf lurks nearby as you rise screaming from a coffin. A vampire in the backdrop appears to be running towards you as if the Werewolf was about to take the last donut.

A few bullet points also describe features from the game as it offers:

* Both Puzzle-solving & Role-Playing Intrigue!
* Superb Graphics, Sound & Color Animation
* Hours of Challenging Terror!

It had also come out for the Apple II, but this ad was for the Atari 400/800 version requiring "one disk drive" and "joystick controller". The EPYX30/FOREVER WARRANTY was also featured here, promising to replace your damaged disk for a small fee even after the 30 day warranty. How's that for service!

Games that remind me of my Dad #zxspectrum #retrogaming #Arcadia. Dad discovered you could connect the Speccy to a hi-fi to boost the sound. This game terrified the neighbours for a little while. It does NOT sound good amplified and not at maximum volume!
