Also to be very clear, critique is still important! Changing, morphing, growing comes alongside making bad work. I think many also fear critique and need to embrace it. Listening to others and deciding what is a useful critique and what is not for you is a skill that will also change everything!

I'm always surprised when I tell stories of rejection as an artist, people often say "well that's never happened to me" or "that would kill me" and so on. Rejection happens! Whether you view art as just a job or a part of your being, you HAVE to learn how to accept your work not being liked

"Bad" art often comes with large breakthroughs (and bad as a concept is something is a whole other topic). If you try to only make art people will like you are probably flattening what you could make. If you never apply to anything for fear of rejection you automatically will never be considered
