Is it just me, or does it seem the press is actually and completely terrified to report about Donald Trump's physical and mental health the way it would have if anyone else were president?

If there aren't at least 12,000 Ramones-style pop punk songs titled "Antifa Girlfriend" by this weekend, we have failed as a society.

We're going to need a bigger bank account!

But can kalkite be used for good instead of evil? Perhaps more importantly, can we access it without blowing a planet to smithereens? asking for a friend....

An excellent actor, and master of the small facial expression - my favorite: the moment Heert is directed to find Kleya. A small, knowing, barely noticeable shake of the head, slightly pursed lips, eyes downcast when they weren't looking at Heert. It said so much in so little a moment.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Mike is doing pressers all day on the hill, so why doesn't Adelita show up with her own Bible and request to be sworn in

IN FRONT OF THE PRESS!

I've been thinking about those guys, or rather guys put in that situation, a lot lately. I thought about it the first time I saw the episode, and I have to say, that's a scene that really stuck for me. And along side it, this image of a dispicable, self-satisfied little tyrant.
Captain Kaido of the "Andor" series stares out at the death and destruction he has ordered on the Ghorman people, with a small self-satisfied smile upon his face. We see him through a glass barrier which reflects the flames and mayhem in the plaza as he watches the Imperial forces assault the protestors.

REPUBLICANS: [Committing, aiding, and abetting uncivil acts of fascism.]

LIBERALS: "You are fascists."

REPUBLICANS: "How uncivil of you to say that. Where is your civility?"

Either you're against fascism, or you're foolish enough to believe it won't come for you.

He's become my favorite little robot in all the Star Wars universe.
And I like that we got to see his shiny matter-of-fact self in the flashback episodes.

Even just thinking about it, and definitely watching the scene, my throat tightens, and my eyes well up. I think what makes that one harder is knowing it's repeated all over the world we live in. I think of Ukraine. I think of Gaza. Too many places where Dreena's plea is reality.

I tear up watching the final scene of S2ep12, as Cassian strides towards his jet - nterspersed with other scenes that tell us how dire the moment is, how much the rebels have achieved, but it's knowing where he's going that really guts me.
And Luthen's "I give my life" rant comes to me every time.

Waiting for "The Great Ghorman Baking Show" to air soon!
Seriously, the spin-off potential from the world-building Andor did is incredible. And of course I want a Ghorman trenchcoat for this upcoming Winter.

Poke around for info on the Gorman culture and language Gilroy and the other creators put together for the show - it's interesting, and he specifically chose French speaking actors to reinforce the world building they did for the show.

The 82nd Airborne has faced a lot but has it ever faced combined arms? And by combined arms I mean tattoo sleeves AND ironic beards
