Yeah playing with it some more - there's like a secret HSL spindle-ish boundary that I'd want to account for if I actually used this in my project

yeah it clamps, so you get weird "corners" if you go too far. Like you have to lower chroma as you're lowering lightness, or else you'll enter a spectrum where the RGB values don't mix. If you go the opposite way, you get CMY corners. It's interesting. Note the hue slider - i haven't moved it

Made with cursed technology, but I got it working. It's interesting in that the hues, to me, at least, appear to shift a little bit as you manipulate the lightness and chroma - perhaps an artifact of the LCh transformation. The hue spectrum also gets spikier as you reach the extreme of chroma

What color coordinates do you prefer to work in? I've been using HSV, but I'm a little frustrated because I don't feel like perceptual brightness is uniform across the spectrum. I suppose it might vary from monitor to monitor, but idk. Haha I suppose I could establish a curve that I manually tweaked
