"The Simpsons" is a documentary. Homer is the median American.

Formerly SkinnerBoxUSA at the other place. IFBAV.
The worst, most organized cases of welfare / EBT fraud I've ever encountered weren't even couch change to the various schemes oligarchs and corporations run routinely.

This nation is literally run by deca-/centi-billionaires who'd rather spend $1B renting politicians than pay $1M more in taxes.

Again, I worked for a small-county health and human services dept. (which covered welfare / EBT cards) for 15 yrs. I fingerprinted applicants, heard and seen all the stories, etc., etc.

One year our fraud division, probably $500k/yr on the hoof, successfully recouped about $88k of frauded benefits.

Anyway, I'm sure it's fine to let this doddering oaf fester in his dwindling nonsense day after day, while our [hocks loogie] opposition party thumbs their collective dicks and promises not to do anything but try to get you a 20% discount on your overpriced health-care premiums.

The "declining chief executive" issue is real, whether for Biden or Trump. Yes, Biden's staff covered for him -- but aside from the fo-po skunk-works funneling money / weapons to Israel for their genocide, they weren't all cartoon monsters and villains.

Now it's Miller and Vought running things. 👺

He almost gives the game away in the middle of the excerpt, where he -- in his inimitable ham-fisted approach to syntax -- essentially admits that since it was at Walter Reed, if he *hadn't* passed the cognitive exam, no one was going to say anything about it anyway.

Jesus, you can even call him out on his own terms -- "can you give us an example of one of the 'harder questions,' Mister God-Emperor Galaxy-Brain Genius?"

I mean, Jesus H. Christ, just lay-up after slam-dunk to be taken on this dopey loser, and everyone's just too lazy or cowardly.

Fuck 'em all.

That's not even touching on the already observable enviro effects, nor on the basic fact that *if it works as advertised* it's going to completely skull-fuck the job market, and quickly.

So take your pick -- the coming decadal demolition of "the economy," or the eternal impunity of the elites?

Not that CoreWeave is an indispensable, keystone, if-this-goes-down-we're-all-fucked stock.

But Nvidia *is* now, and it's got its tentacles into some unsustainable metrics, and the whole niche is completely incestuous and interdependent at this point.

The 1Y chart captures the sheer madness of the thing nicely: opens at $39.00 on 3/28; over $183.50 3 mos later; at $139 by end of Oct.; currently ~$78 or so. Negative EPS.

4Q revs are going to be shit after the coming Xmas meltdown. Beta should be wild by next spring.

Keeping in mind that with ~$5tn investment so far, AI tech needs revenues of ~$650bn/yr for the next 10 yrs to recoup -- and it's topping out at ~$50bn/yr so far.

And that's with Nvidia propping up CoreWeave and cooking the books, and CRWV went public in March.

As @dicknixon.bsky.social often says, knowing *how* to hate is useful and important. And there's no clearer way to show that you don't believe in *anything at all* than to headline a genocide conference presented by your opponent's biggest donor.

Either they're fascist or they aren't. Decide.

We've all borne witness to an ongoing open-air genocide -- with our weapons! with our tax dollars! -- and now HFC sees fit to be a keynote speaker at a whitewashing symposium bankrolled by a casino heiress who poured hundreds of millions of dollars *into Trump's 2016 campaign*.

The point here is that if you were to look for a more emblematic politician of Democratic party fecklessness, inertia, cynicism, opportunism, etc., Hillary Clinton would be on your short list -- and she's been effectively retired for nearly a decade now.

Dems routinely lecture voters on how important the slivers of micro-percentage voters are, and 2.5% *of all Americans* lives in NYC. 1 in 8 Americans lives in California.

But the *real amurkin* lives in Bumfuck, Arkansas. Sure. 🙄🖕🤡💩
December 2, 2025 at 7:46 PM
The national Dem org wants to throw $100M at losers like Jaime Harrison and Amy McGrath, *and* simultaneously pretend that a true ground-up campaign in the nation's largest mayoralty -- NYC not only has more people than 38 states, but more than the bottom 9 states *combined* -- didn't exist.
December 2, 2025 at 7:44 PM
Saint Barry O lost, what, a thousand "downstream" elected offices in state and local legislatures during his tenure? That's political malpractice from which the Dems are still (sort of, kind of) recovering -- and I'd argue that much of that recovery has taken place *in spite of* the national org.
December 2, 2025 at 7:39 PM
And those are the exact conditions that led to Trump clearing the field in 2016 and oozing his way just past the line into office.

Dems never look beyond the present -- they never plan, never build, never create edifices upon which consistent strategies and ideas can be laid out and conveyed.
December 2, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Obviously she'd've been better than Trump -- a mangy stray dog would have been better than Trump, *and* a 2016 defeat probably would have sent him back into his hole.

But it's highly likely that the HFC (heh) admin would have been a stew of GOP obstructionism leading to Dem appeasement and inertia.
