Governments are hoarding rice and grain as insurance against an ever more unstable world. But economists say it could be counter-productive.

There is no such thing as tolerable CSAM/IIoC. We are being encouraged by the usual cultists to tolerate dangerous and disgusting and illegal things, yet again. Like racism, domestic abuse, hate crimes. This is the latest part of the assault on normality.
Governments need to step the hell up.

So let me get this straight. The man who tore down the East Wing of the White House in order to build an oversized ballroom that no one asked for has launched an investigation into Jerome Powell over renovations to the Federal Reserve headquarters.

Did I get that right?

Report X to Apple to get it removed from the AppStore: reportaproblem.apple.com/store/333903...

And for Google Play, report the X app “com.twitter.android” here:

Every piece of reporting I've seen on this is drastically understating the scale. These are from Grok's replies within a single minute. Time-to-reply is degrading because it has such a backlog of NCII/CSAM requests to fulfill. Conservatively I estimate it is producing more than 5000 of these per day

I understand the pressures on the BBC, but Radio 4's coverage of the Minneapolis shooting is an example of "bad balance".

It's all "the Trump regime says she was a terrorist, but Democrats say it was murder".

The BBC has the footage. It doesn't have to treat truth and falsehood as equally valid.

Farage is being untruthful about his candidate's racism. Moreover, "patriotism" is not an excuse for racism; and is someone really a "patriot" in the first place if they hate the existence of non-white British people this much?
Farage said Parry had also criticised “many white politicians, called them unpatriotic, and suggested they went to live in other countries”

Parry imagines he has done this too - but neither he nor Reform have been able to cite any example of telling a white politician to live in another country!

People are still acting like Russian apologists over the boat incident today...so I think it's important people read the UK Defence Secretary's statement he was able to make this evening in the House of Commons.

No British Politician should be on X anymore.

The Government needs to leave immediately.

Violence Against Women and Girls is an epidemic. Being on X and tackling this are not compatible.

The story of Europe’s economic decline while US is 'soaring' is everywhere.

But it is wrong. It is a myth.

Europe delivers more leisure, longer life expectancy, less inequality than the US.

Gabriel Zucman dismantles the myths.

Decline, what decline? The myth of dying Europe
There is a widespread view that, by comparison with the USA, Europe is in economic and social decline. But, Zucman argues, it's not true
