Leave It to Weaver

Mike Weaver. I've never blessed the rains anywhere but am hoping to someday; I think I'll try it locally, though. Portmanteau enthusiast. Short, but cool. He/Him.

Every Gen-Xer has 5 wolves inside them: a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal.
I meant to open a can of cranberry sauce but accidentally opened a can of whoop ass. Now the house is a mess.

Once I thought someone had published an abstract nude portrait of me, but it turned out it was just a picture of an avocado.

Trying to be a conscientious consumer these days is exhausting.

There is nothing that has been broken that cannot be rebuilt. And, like the Japanese art of Kintsugi, it will be stronger because it will contain the record of how it was broken.

Excuse me, @alexwinter.com. Now that you and Keanu have done Waiting for Godot, could you please team up to do Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead? I think this project would be amazing. Thank you.

@aoc.bsky.social @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social @rephaleystevens.bsky.social Articles of impeachment should be brought against Trump almost daily. 1. For allowing a non-secure, non-cleared person into all levels of government. 2. Ignoring court orders. 3. Deporting citizens for protests.

This article really captures the nightmare that everyone ICE takes into custody goes through. And the profit motivation of the private detention centers that process them.
I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

I did this and I hate making phone calls. You'll most likely get an answering machine because the call volume is so high. But we need to flood their answering machine so they get the message to stop cooperating with the dismantling of the government.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

Geez, San Antonio. Why the hell would you try to cheat in an all star game contest? That's totally, swiping money from the bank in Monopoly energy.

This might be the most amazing mash-up I've ever seen. Questlove did it for his documentary on SNL music.

I just realized that I was both lucky enough, and into films enough, to see the following David Lynch films in the theater: Dune, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, and Inland Empire. I'm so happy I got to experience those on the big screen. 📽️

Damnit! Now I have to face a world without David Lynch in it? I don't think I can do that.

Maybe the occasional "A'ight let's see what we got."
I want less Silicon Valley companies and more companies like Tabasco where everything is just put into big oak barrels and once in awhile an aging Cajun man walks in and goes “how them babies doin”

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

That was lucky. I'll be home in time for tea.

Happy New Year! My wife is sleeping peacefully, it's snowing, there are fireworks going off through the area, and someone down the street is playing Auld Lang Syne on bagpipes. My 2025 is about to be stressful but I feel strangely hopeful, and at peace. I wish that hope and peace for you all.
