All of Trump's latest moves are operating outside the law. That doesn't mean we can rely on the law to hold him in check. It'll hold in some places and crumble in others most likely. But we should be clear on his disregard for the law and have clarity on that for the fight ahead and how we wage it.

Converting all restrooms in your workplace, community spaces, etc. to gender-neutral restrooms right now is literally the bare minimum for defending trans people from a federal legal assault right now. This should have been done ages ago.

There’s a lot of reasons to learn labor history, one big one is that many of us have never lived in a time of real worker power, or seen it exercised. We’ve never seen a general strike shut down our city and bring bosses to their knees. But it’s happened before and it will happen again.

A lot of the “echo chamber” critique revolves around a romanticized vision of the role of debate, a vision that’s existed for a long time and never really been aligned with reality, I think.

One of the simplest ways I've seen it put is that Democrats shouldn't run as conservatives because the people who want conservatism are already voting Republican. And the data this election 100% backed that up.
