You bring up an excellent point though. The cash shop is where this erosion of the standard started. And that is what did it in Team Fortress 2, Diablo 4, and maybe now in Battlefield 6.

They don't matter from a game play perspective but they do from a lore and world building aspect. That's usually the lowest value aspect to consider, which is fair.

Valid thoughts. It's more about the character of the job stone. As many others are quick to point out, the integrity of the original design of the job has been far lost by now. I am lamenting that I like the more rigid aspect of jobs. It's better for us to customize, but it removes that charm I like
