if the eternal cycle of abuse of trans women & trans girls was recognized and taken seriously for what it was the world's whole structure of gender and sexuality would look very different. simply because of what it entails to transfeminize, and to try to rape or kill the trans girl.

numerous times where the response is some variation on "welcome to being a woman", claiming it was the trans woman's fault, etc. in general abuse, esp. abuse of women, is never taken seriously, but much of the world *requires* the abuse of trans women to hold the structure of gender violence intact
Something I almost never talk about bc it seems like no one other than trans women care is that when we talk about being survivors of CSA, abuse, IPV, all the violences...people don't care. Or they think it's funny. Or we're like, "exaggerating." It's not REAL abuse. Like if a REAL woman was abused

very impressed that pluribus is actual Cosmic Horror Yuri (as was mentioned in ep 1 and now has come full circle to ep 9) & i don't just mean "omg cthulhu is cute" i mean honest to god "stursia as a relationship is a deeply unsettling moral / philosophical quandary"

I’m reminded, that in Australia, this tends to be a Boxing Day tradition. You get given books for Christmas, it’s a massive Christmas Day, and then on Boxing Day you laze around reading your Christmas books. It’s a great day where no one is expected to do anything except maybe go to the beach.
