I think at this point my friends have used my therapy dog crate more than I have. Friends who get overstimulated retreat to it and fall asleep in my crate. This is so wholesome and cute! the fuck?!! If you get a “weird” accommodation don’t worry about judgement. Sometimes others need it too

This is how my regression often looks like when I’m alone. It’s an emotional flashback while stuck in a younger headspace and it fucking sucks. Other times a younger alter gets frontstuck and has to navigate all the big feelings by themselves. Logic doesn’t work we just want our mommy!
Involuntary regression is honestly so scary and not talked about that much. I'd say it's similar to a PTSD flashback but your mind is also altered to that age.
If you get stressed enough, suddenly you're 4 again and all the bad feelings come back without the learned skill of grounding techniques
