When a news article about Trumps Afghanistan comments came out I predicted that Starmer would pull a Schumer and use strong words and nothing else. I was downvoted, but whatever. And yes I was right. “Appalling” and “Insulting” were the words used.

Wow this week it looks like the investment world outside the US has said this is enough. The currency movements against the USD are quite strong. Even China has allowed its currency to strengthen against the USD.

So I have been going through the various social networks. Twitter (x) is a hangout for the rightwing nuts. Threads is a hangout for the leftwing nuts. Bluesky apparently the thoughtful ones. The discussions on bluesky are decent, and they are discussions. Did not expect that.

And this is one of the reasons why as an eu citzen i flat out refuse to accept the UK as an eu member again. A trade deal sure, why not. Eu member, absolutely not.
