Yeah it's definitely lost in the article that they have evidence from before and after the fire starting that this guy seems to be an arsonist who started it with a lighter on purpose and not someone who just threw a cigarette carelessly.

You gotta go into the sourced court docs but he was fedposting to chatgpt at the time the fire started, had a history of being really focused on fire with image genAIs, and they have video & gps data to show he was exactly where it started when it started and that it grew too fast to be from a cig

You have to read the sourced court docs and go a bit far into them to get to the probable cause facts but basically the night of, video and GPS data had him at the location of the fire exactly when it started, he had non public info about it's start, and it started way too quickly for it to be a cig

Even though this was clear from the start, it's still very annoying to have DICE be like "Open weapons is more popular. Data says so 😏" after open was the default with modes closed didn't even have. If you wanted to say "We already made the game open", then say that
