Tees Valley mayor Lord (Ben) Houchen promised renewal. Instead, Britain’s biggest regeneration project has turned into a taxpayer-funded scandal - enriching a few local businessmen while leaving public bodies on the brink.

Kinda wanna rewatch Vice now.

Adam McKay nailed the insipid shift to the right under Bush-Cheney.

St Andrew's Church, Sadberge is on my morning dog walk.

It's on the site of a Saxon castle, once the centre of Saxon administration between the Tees and the Tyne - the "Manor and Wapentake of Sadberge".

Unfortunately, everything associated with #Teesworks Ltd and the #regeneration of this post-industrial land in #teesside into something that could benefit local communities is tainted by the stench of #corruption wafting from the pages of the #privateeye.

It's crazy what the Maltese government is doing to the important historical sites that it's the custodian of. All in the name inward investment. Please take the time to read and sign this petition if you agree.

I love a journal - here's my new favourite organiser from company in Leeds. My partner bought their Gratitude planner to help with her health, but this one is just what I need.

Now I can plan, track, comment on and focus on my reading.

Took my son to the NFL London game yesterday at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Don't really understand the game, tbh. But he was totally made up as it's unlikely we'll get into the US to see a game before it breaks apart and I learned what the phrase 3rd and 17 means.

Looking forward to seeing this crossing the River Skerne in Darlington in celebration of 200 years since the birth of the railways. A group of visionary business men caught sight of the future of transport and went with it, despite opposition from the ruling classes.

Loving Lithuania at the moment. Vilnius is such a beautiful city.

It made me realise that us Brits and those Americans have no idea what freedom really means. We've never truly had it taken away from us by invaders in the modern age and our cultures suppressed.

Truth is, the monarchy ain't that popular, the UK government is falling apart and a lot of people would like to see that money wasted on maintaining these outdated systems put to good use helping those made most disadvantaged by rampant capitalism.
Just a note to all the Americans, no matter what you're seeing over there, we don't like your President. We don't want him here.

He has been 100% kept away from the public here in UK & that's why it all looks rosy.

They know allowing him to be face to face with British public would be messy.
