Who is... THE RANDOMIZER II?
Ages ago, the Guardians of the Universe decided that in order to preserve the rule of order in their cosmos, they must remove what elements of chaos they could from it. Thus, they gathered together most of the randomized cosmic radiation in the universe and contained it within a decommissioned power battery placed within a distant star. Through a series of unknown-albeit random-circumstances, the captured radiation achieved sentience, eventually escaped, fashioned a fashionable robotic containment shell, and found itself on Earth in Los Angeles in the late 1970s where, inspired by a hit movie (Star Wars) to call itself "Beep Boop," it became an overnight sensation in the stand-up comedy circuit. But Beep Boop's big break happened in 1984 when it landed a role as the voice of the computer screens on the game show Jeopardy with host Alex Trebek. However, what was believed to be a long-term role turned out to be just a one-time gig, as the game show producers decided to reuse an audio recording of Beep Boop's audition reading rather than continue to pay it to voice every episode. Its hopes of becoming a serious voice actor dashed, the following decades were filled with both poor luck and poor life choices for Beep Boop, until the fateful day it met Canadian voice actor Randy Miser (see Randomizer I) at an international Exploited Chumps Anonymous meeting (Miser has a similar experience voicing the Wheel on Wheel of Fortune). Back in the day, Miser was hired by Canadian podcaster Siskoid as the Randomizer for his Panel by Panel Podcast for the Fire and Water Podcast Network. Miser's work caught the attention of Rob Kelly and the Irredeemable. Shag, who asked Siskoid if Miser would be available to serve as the Randomizer for their latest iteration of their Who's Who Podcast. Miser subcontracted the additional gig to Beep Boop, whom Miser saw as a kindred spirit. Thus, the now happy Beep Boop became the network's second Randomizer for the all-new Who's Who Review podcast.
