I was just thinking, these ICE raids aren’t quite making the news now that it’s happening in the South. The media has long ignored the Southern United States and we are all less informed for it. A dangerous side effect is that this also allows the controversy around what’s happening to fade.
Similar protests have spread to Home Depots in Charlotte, North Carolina, too — with the goal of getting the corporation to keep immigration officers off their property: “Home Depot has the responsibility and the opportunity to stand with the community.”
