It's the same thing with Instragram. Users are at the mercy of "trendy" and these platforms consistently changes how your work is seen, forcing folks to dramatically change how they post and share their work.

The average user gets limited engagement for what they WANT to talk about, and more engagement for drama bait.
If you don't chase the algorithm, you get de-boosted—Your actual interests getting almost no attention at all.
I prefer quality over quantity.

Fun fact, There was actually gonna be a Sprites anime OVA in the late 90s. Sadly a warehouse fire destroyed all 13 episodes. This is the only remaining animation cel that survived.

Honestly after all this Banana Fish Ai dub slop, I think we all collectively owe 4kids an apology. Say whatever you will about 4kids, least they actually hired real humans that have a degree of emotion in their performances.

Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from.
tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this.

You know all those bad 4KidsTV dubs of beloved anime from the 2000s that had a bunch of bad voice acting and censorship? Well at least 4Kids actually hired real humans actors. This sounds AWFUL.

I was making art stuff either as drawings or sculpture my whole life, and I wanted to tell stories through a medium like filmmaking but found it hard. But after taking a class in animation because I wasn’t sure what to do as a career I loved it so much that I wanted that to so that for a living.

I finally got around to watching Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.
Once again Del Toro has shown that he is one of my favorite filmmakers ever and one of the best in his field. 🥺
