I know there is a lot of "we are in a Constitutional crisis now" but IMHO the crisis began when Musk illegally and unconstitutionally vaporized USAID and sent millions of children to their deaths.

Rubio doesn’t have a single word of thanks for USAID staff who saved the lives of millions & now find their own livelihoods shattered.

He only thanks the henchman of DOGE. An outrage.

These USAID staff were visibly upset leaving the Washington HQ for the last time recently, applauded by onlookers.

HAPPENING NOW: A federal judge who ordered the unfreezing of USAID contract spending is voicing frustration as a Trump administration lawyer repeatedly refuses to say whether they have actually taken any steps to implement his 12-day-old order.

The 21% who want USAID eliminated gives a solid baseline for the proportion of Americans who will support any antidemocratic endeavor these clowns come up with. That's just signaling complete fealty to Trump. Almost none of them had heard of the agency 6 months ago.

Musk says USAID is a criminal organization. This man doesn't seem like a criminal.👇
“You’re terminated because…?”

Fired federal employees are telling their stories—no deep state, just career public servants tossed aside.

DOGE’s mass firings aren’t about efficiency—they’re gutting expertise, wrecking lives, and calling it “reform.”

More than one person has inferred to me that the pain many of us are feeling due to the federal cuts and freezes is a pain for a greater good and in time things will be better. I'm struggling how to respond to these people without losing my cool.

It’s not just probationary employees being terminated.

Also, I talked to an employee who was at CDC for 4.5 years, notified they were probationary and let go.

+Probationary isn’t like private-sector probation for performance. It just means they don’t have the same legal protections for their jobs.
So.

It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year.

I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.
