Really can’t help this is just people trying to find ways to fuel a negativity cycle with this game as social media tends to do with all things when it’s not really as bad as it seems.
There’s still plenty to enjoy with Magic and tons of ways to do so on your own terms.

Idk, I don’t think Universes Beyond really takes away that much - if at all - from actual Magic IP but maybe that’s just me.
The Magic worlds are still being hit, the story is still coming. Choose to engage with that how you want.
You can literally ignore Marvel and just have fun with ECL story.

I’m only going to say this once and move on.
I do believe fatigue is real, but creators feel it more because they feel like they can’t skip a set ever, otherwise they fade into obscurity.
That frustration then gets reflected in their content, and affects average viewers.

Honestly this is why @theasianavenger.bsky.social is one of my top favorite people to consume content from. Crim is always so positive about mtg because he enjoys the game for what it is.....a game. I hope more players (both content creators and general community) take after him. Keep it up homie 🩵✌️
An annoying thing about Magic is the players saying "Magic is dead" and "that's my breaking point, I'm quitting" every new announcement.
Then, just not quitting the game, so they can do it all again the next time something is announced.
It's been every set since I've started playing. 🫠

I worry that the worst kinds of people will latch onto the 'pigs and slop' language to harass both Wizards & players.
I've seen it before. I worry that this is how a fandom splinters. Usually the next step is bad actors monopolising on it.

something that i really don't understand is like, if the whole push for UB is to get new players into the game/stick with magic, wouldn't prioritizing one UB set and making it feel special be a better move?

i've never wondered about the immigration status of someone else in the hospital with me but that's probably because i'm normal
