Yankees had a 8.47 ERA in the ALDS.

That's the worst ERA in any single postseason series in franchise history.

And the scary thing for the Yankees is, you can't count on Aaron Judge to be a superhero forever into his mid-30s. If he's just a normal great hitter next season, where do they make up for that?

They *really* need one of these young guys to turn into a difference maker.

I'm rooting for Seattle myself.

The AL's representative in the World Series will either be the Tigers (haven't been since 2012), Blue Jays (haven't been since 1993), or the Mariners (have never played in a World Series).

Let's be honest, though. He's staying, and so is Boone. Why? Because there's no urgency.

Eight years is a long time for a good manager who's won a World Series, neither of which applies to Boone.

The Yankees absolutely, inarguably, need a new manager and a new shortstop next season. I think we all know it will be Boone and Volpe though.

Volpe fucking sucks, and I hope we finally pull that plug. And this is coming from someone who defended that kid for the longest time.

Beyond the manager, the Yankees won't get anywhere unless somebody on the team decides to turn into someone worth a shit like Judge did. But their development has been routinely showing holes, inconsistency, and a lot of failed promise

I'd love to know why I should be excited about George Lombard Jr. for instance. The Yankees haven't melded a good middle infielder since...? Volpe stinks, Peraza's somewhere else. Same thing with Spencer Jones. Am I supposed to be excited?

That Judge moment last night is still legendary to me and I hope it still goes down as legendary despite losing the series a la Pujols' homer off of Brad Lidge or Kobe Bryant's buzzer beater against the Suns.

The best part about this is that you literally have Ex Yankees from the 90’s all over television openly saying what is wrong with this team & the GM is still acting like he’s smarter than anyone that has actually played this sport. It’s fucking sickening

Same and same. This is on everybody else. They lost, not him

All Judge had to prove to me and everyone else was if he could perform in the postseason. This run showed that he can, no matter how it ended.

Aaron Judge did literally everything he could right until the last moment. No one, and I mean NO ONE, should blame him for this.

you know, say what you want about his past or how the rest of the team played, but Aaron Judge freaking showed up in this series.

A'ja Wilson is the greatest of all time. There, I said it.

Wells is a fucking idiot for that AB, I'm sorry. Rice walks in front of you and you swing first pitch? Awful

Boone's not going anywhere, either. That's what makes it worse. Everyone can see the common denominator in this era except the front office, so he'll stay at least another year.

Judge FINALLY shows up in October only for the rest of the team to turn into pumpkins. A crying shame.
snowmanmarc.bsky.social
These prick let Anthony Volpe, a black hole in the Yankee lineup, to hit with the season on the line. That kind of decision making is why Aaron Boone needs to be let go.
