Ok; two years or so ago, got drafted into a new place of work on the ask of creating a scene for a Lego set - of Rivendell, no less - so, starting from a very basic sketch based (wrongly) on a hex, things began to be begindled...
The Lego Lord of the Rings Rivendell kit, or set, or whatever the terminology is; a very intricate and complicated build which thankfully (or maybe unfortunately) was already assembled for me to make plans around. The first extremely basic sketch of the scene I was intending to create, a literal minute-scribble showing (more or less) a river, a couple of build-levels, and the location of the Lego-set at the top, This whole drawing was approximately an inch and a bit across, though the concept was broadened out by scribbled notes relating to materials needed, design-element queries, and concept-notes. The first refinement of the initial sketch, starting to pick out a more detailed notion of what I'm gonna be trying to achieve - mostly for the sake of the employer at this stage just to show 'em that I'm not just winging it from the first sketch, even though I totally was. More notes and ideas aplenty. I was envisioning a fair bit of tree-work at first, I hadn'y actually seen the kit at this point so wasn't aware that it had its own Lego-trees included, for which adding more realistic ones probably wasn't going to gel very well. Sketch three, with more refinement, more notes, and so on - still at this point designed for a hex-shaped base - which, though it was quite nifty concept-wise, was gonna be a bit more of a git to build a case for later on.

anyway, gotta dash to get on with that very same work stuff; meanwhile, have a #halloween cat-n-mouse thing, rustled up in zbrush - was hoping to get this and a bunch of other bits up on me redbubble in time for the season but ofc barely got started, blah. Toodlepip for the time being!

- well as expected, work's been even more hectic than usual after getting back from my week off; busy building two sets of window-display backdrops for christmas-shopping-stuff, I'll bung up s'more updates as and when; oh btw that's a *98*-inch telly in the middle of this setup, bloody 'ell...
the beginnings of a set-build for some christmas-shopping window-displays, at the moment only at the stage of being bare mdf 'walls' with some windows cut in, and with a 98-inch telly at the centre.

Uh-oh, mighta started sump'n; first fanoodlins with wire and whatnot in over 2 years I think - anyway, of *course* it's something weird, we'll see what it turns into as it goes along - 2 poses here of whatever-the-heck-it-is, at first fixing of the armature and first form-figuring-out in greenstuff:
a copper-wire armature for a sculpture of an as yet indeterminate miniature monster of some sort; it is essentially humanoid in form but considerably larger than a human at scale, being approximately 45mm tall. the first application of greenstuff onto the humanoid armature, filling out the form somewhat; other armature-wires have been added into the form at this point, showing that the creature will have several additional appendages, six in all - four tentacle-wires sprouting from the face or mouth area, and two eye-stalks. another wire-frame armature, for another version of whatever this monster's going to be, but in a more hunched-forward pose. first layer of greenstuff on the second armature, again showing the additional armatures added into the face and mouth area for tentacles and eyestalks.

A painted 28mm scale miniature of a zombie broo duck. It's a creature from the Glorantha setting from RuneQuest. A humanoid duck that is a zombie. Really, an awful abomination. It has a broken neck so its head has flopped over to its right shoulder. Its tongue flops out of its beak. It has bloody wounds. I mean it, it really is an awful thing. And it's got a bronze blade that it's dragging along the ground. By all the gods! What were Fenris Games thinking of when they created this unholy chaotic thing? Top marks to them. 10/10. Can recommend. Your RuneQuest player characters will hate it.

set of seven different model coffins of varying shape and dimensions- some wooden, some stone - including two with lids removed, one that looks broken into, and one containing a skeleton in rags.

Couple of optional hands, WIP for the dwarf hero I teased last month. Hopefully in the release queue summer-ish.

some of the bigger produce from today's expedition to the casting mines
a raised, stepped plinth covered in celtic knotwork patterns. the same resin casting standing on its squared end so the plinth now forms a stepped arch fitting a tiled temple floor. a crude idol to Dagon in the form of an obese fish-frog scribed with glyphs and surrounded by offerings and ruins; a stone menhir carved with a spiral triskele. a squat circular tower of large, roughly squared stone blocks.
