Upstate NY. From Albany to Buffalo. Always for the underdog - and cat. Embarrassing weakness for rom-coms.

"Elon musk is not the president" is good messaging so it shouldn't stop, but it's also kind of beside the point. it would not be legal for trump to be personally shutting down any of these programs. it's a backdoor veto on any spending regardless of how or when it passed

STEP 1: Donald does something stupid.

STEP 2: Donald is surprised there are consequences.

STEP 3: Donald backs down.

STEP 4: Donald lies, claiming things already agreed to are new concessions he forced by the stupid thing he did.

STOP 5: REPEAT

James Lindsay told his followers that “hostile entities” paid for the swastikas and slurs that flood the For You tab on X.

I heard one hostile entity paid as much as $44B for it!

Wasn’t the outrage over Hillary Clinton’s private email server at home the possibility that it *might* contain sensitive information?

But now South African Michael Scott can just install a commercial server at OPM to scoop it all up?
Elon Musk has taken control of government employees’ private data by having his cronies illegally install a commercial server at the Office of Personnel Management.

An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government.

DOGE is not a real government agency.
DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions.
DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law.
DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand.

Lessons to be learned:

1. Centrists align with far-right to look tough on immigration
2. Centrists gain nothing
3. Far-right wins more power

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

I don't have faith in the American people to choose a direction that benefits everyone. Too many selfish individuals make it hard to improve the standard of living, and it feels like it's more about "me" than "us" these days.

We are concerned & angry about the illegal actions of the MAGA RedHat leadership. What political action groups can we join & broadcast for those of us with the will and capacity to be active opposition. The fabric of the Nation is at risk. It’s time for action. This is a bar fight - not a tea party.

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
