Man y'all got some blood lust. Y'all need to chill. I've been able to move my mom more progressive over time. She listens, at the same time it is a real slow process and calling her stupid isn't gonna help. Helping someone change their mind especially family comes from care and safety not derision.

I think there are a LOT of good people there. But realistically Suozzi only won by 3% over the republican candidate. There needs to be a lot more organizing to make this district reliably progressive. We are the district that voted for Santos, there is a lot of work to be done.

I grew up in this district. This district is solidly neo liberal/conservative. He voted the way his electorate would. To challenge him we would first need to challenge the people. My mom is the on the more progressive side of the neighbor hood and she believes immigration is an issue.

Democrats are trying to find a way to restore faith in government and democracy without actually changing anything about how it works. That's why they're useless in this moment. They will continue to be useless.

yes ICE has a lot of money now. thats true. you know what else is true? democrats spent the last 2 decades building the infrastructure that allows ICE to spend that money as quickly and efficiently as possible

I can feel that people who don’t write or talk like an llm will eventually be more misunderstood than now. Similar to how indigenous Americans way of communicating through story is misunderstood by most Americans. Layers of meaning will be stripped away from English into a newspeak.
