Between Radiohead and Mumford and Sons, which band do you think is more likely to perform at Bohemian Grove?

I've always wondered if the Lennon kids had to bring a letter to school telling the English teacher not to assign Catcher in the Rye for the semester.

Finished "Shadow Ticket" by Thomas Pynchon today. I read some reviews that said Pynchon shied away from commenting on current events in this book. Gotta wonder if we read the same novel.

Writing an erotic adventure novel about a Scientologist with two penises. They can be used as e-meters or as divining rods. There's a lot of advantages to having two dicks actually.

If you think about it "Face Off" is just a remake of "Freaky Friday".

I'm going to write a novel called "Milky Dick" that replaces the sperm whale from the classic American novel with some ginormous mommy milkers.

I'm grateful I got to see Todd Snider at the Wilma in Missoula four years ago. He was arrested outside of the hospital in Salt Lake City last week. Died of pneumonia yesterday. So it goes, I guess.

As far as Clive Barker fanfic goes, you could technically do worse than Fanged Noumena.

Thomas Pynchon tried to write opera librettos based on Ray Bradbury novels before he wrote original stories. He sold his first short story for $1500. It'd be closer to $16k today.

I'm still reading "Shadow Ticket" by Thomas Pynchon.

There's a bit in the novel about the Horst Wessel song becoming the anthem for the NSDAP.

It's a stunning coincidence considering that this book would come out just after that song would become something of a trending and relevant topic.

every hardware store should have a museum of bored children
every time your parents take you to the hardware store and spend hours looking at screwdrivers they could pay like $1 to have your picture taken and added to the museum

the pictures would have quotes like "mom said there'd be popcorn"

When I was a kid, if a guy wiped his ass and dressed well, we called him metrosexual, implying that he's gay.

Now we call him performative, implying that he's a manipulator.

We've come a long way since 2005.

It's crazy to think that for every funny video on TikTok, there's at least one more video of Shane Gillis explaining the first video to three other guys.
