Thread of my thoughts on first read:
-Mini Rattler nerf is needed, but won’t hurt it too bad
-I pretend I do not see the Splash buff
-The brella buff is nice. Not sure if it’ll fix the weapon
-52 being faster, but more ink hungry is an interesting tweak
-Big Swig stonks stay winning

Tried out the demo for #LuminesArise and had a fun time! @enhance-experience.com continues to bring their A-game in the puzzle space. Took me a minute to get a handle on things since I haven’t played the original, but I think I did pretty well.

A screenshot from the demo of the (at time of posting) upcoming puzzle game Lumines Arise. The screenshot shows the end-of-demo results screen. A total of 19 minutes and 56 seconds were spent playing. 333 two-by-two squares were made, with a max combo of 2 and a max burst of 26. The total score is 25,784 points, earning an A rank.

Basically, I’m asking for a collection of old PopCap games on Switch 2. If the PvZ remaster uses the same Game Framework that other PopCap titles use, then I feel a PopCap Deluxe Collection…

My feelings are mixed about it though. On the one hand, it’s nice to see a sign of life from PopCap. On the other, I’d like to see something from them on PC/Consoles that isn’t PvZ. The casual game market has been saturated with mobile slop for a long time now, but the success of Balatro…

At a glance, I can tell you it’s a port/remaster of the Xbox 360 release of PvZ. The modes they talked about line up with that version, plus those assets are already in HD. Not a bad version to port, especially since Switch 2 has mouse controls and Switch 1 can use USB.

Thoughts on the Partner Showcase:
It was a fine/10. Nothing super huge, but stuff like Pac-Man World 2 remake and new Katamari is exciting. The elephant in the room for me is PvZ Replanted.

At this point there’s only like one (1) barrier keeping me from switching to Linux, and every time Microsoft tries to upsell me their subscription platform the ground beneath that barrier erodes. I’m lucky enough to be running 11 Pro, so I can (and have) disable Copilot at a policy level.
