And you settle for the plain one? It’s a big world out there!

It was wildly mundane. Got pulled over for expired tabs. Dude had done everything right: went to college, had a catering business, owned a house, etc. All ripped away from him due to something he had absolutely no control over at any point in his life.

It’s a lottery of cruelty and it drives me nuts that so little light is shined on the plight of the deported.

Until you pointed out your savings (very adult!) i was concerned your Mountain Dew was too childish

Had a buddy who was deported under Obama and it might have lacked the pazazz of trump but it was just as inhumane and stupid - dude had moved to yakima when he was 6 months old and at the age of 34 was stuck in Mexico for a year, had to sell his house just for lawyers to get him back.

They do have something real. J6 was a good example and unfortunately with the pardons, that cohort will be even more emboldened.

The Robinson stuff is very concerning, but it does make me wonder if there’s something with American vs European infrastructure that makes it more likely

When you start doing the math it’s legitimately insane. We’re talking 100s of kids a day, Also they are apparently saving more children than there were undocumented people in Minnesota?

I find the ‘everything is projection’ kinda lazy but the amount of known money that is behind the right (and even more so the far right) and the lack of people power in their movements kinda shows what money can’t buy.

Yes. That is a chart that expresses the collective economy. But how’s the economy doing in MPS? Their government is figuring out a bailout program.

America is massive and a lot of the economy is increasingly abstracted. I think trying to reify the chart is a losing political tactic.

I think outside of chilling with your buddies play acting as a militia, seeing dudes with guns and tactical gear irl is really offputting.

Brick and mortar retail and restaurants have been in a prettt rough state since Covid. For an economy so heavily involved in service that means a lot of people are feeling it. It’s just the stock market is still performing so the majority of people are fine but that 40% isn’t.

Reality will rear its head soon enough. Hopefully it’ll be the box kicking the bucket rather than a major disaster they will be utterly incapable of addressing.

But i do think the protests do get under their skin for the very fact that’s it’s irl. Everything they do is cyber vapor

Really a modern phenomenon where the act of child predation is more easily forgiven than the image of it and then we go full post modern and AI rendered ones are cool again. Meditation is a danged trip and this admin fully embraced that

I was pretty surprised by how people reacted to when ICE was in hoodsport last summer. A mix of anger, fear and disgust. Maybe a couple people were hyped by they were too embarrassed to admit it.

This is the same train of thought i have when thinking about how a Olympics fantasy league would work

I know people have strong opinions on the quality but i like dewalt because the color gives off serious business vibes.

I really wish people would put a little bit more thought into how policing physically works. They can’t prevent murders unless they could see the future.
But as far as the lax attitude on traffic violations? Seems like they’re just being lazy - tho i have heard that they’re scarred of being shot? -

I remember an assembly where they brought Karn out to let us know our dreams were possible
February 12, 2026 at 5:27 PM
painfully aware of the situation. I work in beer and it’s been a danged nightmare. But it’s not nearly as bad as my bandmate that works at a crown plant

I’m sure you know this but they’ve been doing tariffs in the dumbest ways possible. If you really wanted to spur domestic manufacturing you’d only tariff finished goods. These idiots can’t even do imperialism right

I spent a fucking week in jail for half a gram of weed, killing someone should have at least that much time!
