The explanation is once it came up to a vote no member or Senator wanted to vote against it (except 1)! It’s very logical. In fact it’s why Sen voted for UC so they didn’t have to really record a vote!!

Dems couldn’t stop that. So they actually prepared for it. There’s a REASON why Johnson was hoping the Senate would make amendments to the bill.

It’s not that cut and dry. While DOJ does have seemingly wide latitude Congress was careful. And large redactions I think will only KEEP the story in the news. This is why Johnson wanted the Senate to be able to amend the bill!

I agree 100% this case is politically motivated and unjust. I hate the “lawfare” buzzword as Lawfare Media does such good work. I got clarity from Anna herself about this.

Are we sure? It sounds like it’s another property in VA. Based on the claims in the indictment it doesn’t sound like the one for the niece as they claim James was the sole borrower.

The story makes it clear they couldn’t. They couldn’t even TALK! Which is my point. They were put in an extremely difficult situation and had to make a hard choice in a quick second. And it sucks. I’m not trivializing it. My FIRST statement was war is hell!! It puts you in impossible situations
