I think about all those people being detained and feel sick to my core. WTF do you mean we can’t bring them back or free them?

It’s still surreal living in this time of facism rising in this country while trying to act normal and going through all the motions like it’s not happening. In polite conversation, no one is really talking about it. Just the sinking feeling of dread as we read the news every day.

Everyone in media is again asking are we in a Constitutional crisis. STOP!!!! We have been in crisis for sometime and it is being organized by a Russian asset who happens to be President. The question that should be asked is how do we get out of this crisis? Who is left to defend America?

I can think of other events in history where the government tried to squash dissenting voices…

How low we have become. Embarrassed and ashamed of the spectacle at the White House today and how that reflected on us Americans. The cult leader and his cronies bullied what should be our ally and friend. WTF.

I think Girl Scout cookies and red wine are perfectly acceptable options for dinner now that democracy is winding down in our country, don’t you?

How do you like the new “Deep State”? Better?

The math isn’t mathing 🧐
How much Elon Musk makes from the government a day: $8 million.

How much a senior on Social Security gets a day: $65

Guess which budget Musk and Trump want to cut?

I've been waiting for someone to make this point as clearly as @pbump.com did last week:

The entire Federal law enforcement apparatus is a part of the Executive Branch. All of it. So if they don't want to enforce a judge's rulings, or, for that matter, the law... then who?

Opinion | Who can police a president unwilling to abide by the law?
A president who wants to brazenly challenge both Congress and the courts will be hard to constrain.

If you have an iPhone 14 or later and on the T Mobile Network, be aware that your phone will eventually have Starlink incorporated in the next update. Apple did this quietly and there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn it off.

And I’m not confident that we can vote ourselves out of it during the midterms. If there even will be one that isn’t rigged. Sorry I can’t be more positive — I wish I could. People need to understand the seriousness of what’s happening.

People didn’t believe me when I told them after the election that it’s game over for our democracy. Most thought it would be just another four years like the last time and we just need to buckle up and wait it out. I assure you that it isn’t. These are long-term to permanent repercussions.

Just for awareness:
-being a woman is DEI
-being a vet is DEI
-being pregnant is DEI
-being over 40 is DEI
-being disabled and/or needing accommodations is DEI

Do not think anti-DEI policies only affect minorities and LGBTQ.

The Trump administration has required that all communications and social media posts from federal agencies undergo prior approval before being shared. This directive is currently in effect until the end of the month.

As an avid former student of political history, I feel like I somehow got stuck in the “alternative” dimension/timeline of a Michael Crichton book. Is this real life?
