![The Stranger.
There is a look in your eyes
that I do not understand,
but it is the most beautiful
thing I have ever seen.
That look, those eyes,
every blatant and mysterious thing
that dwells within,
Shadows that gather
about your face,
The weight of presence
that watches back,
each glimmer reflected
from the surface
of those eyes that seem
to show and hide alike,
holds me captive of a meaning
that I cannot hope to know.
I can never be sure
if the pain and compassion
I think I find there
are mine or yours.
And I care so very much about you,
who have no reason to,
and I know I have no reason either,
but I do.
