Not sure, my sub is through Prime. Tho I own that particular film on Blu-ray so I’m probably not the best person to ask re: it’s current streaming location.

Oh yeah. And she didn’t even die of Covid in 2020! Died peacefully in her sleep from age.

Late Night with the Devil is overall really well done and a rare leading role for David Dastmalchian.

Also just saw The Ugly Stepsister. It's the first movie I've ever seen to actually make my gorge rise, so wouldn't recommend it while eating but its beautifully shot.

Olivia de Havilland could have watched the first talkie, the first color film, the first 3D film, the first televised film, the first home video and the first streaming film and probably still would've smacktalked her sister through every viewing

So, basically the cheetahs of the bird world: impressively large, majestic animals that talk in itty-bitty baby noises.

My mother grew up in Delaware County and the occasional "wurder" will still slip out.

She thought both Mare of Eastown and the SNL sketch were great ftr. One of the few shows we all ended up following as a family.

Made a jar of reusable wetwipes to live on my counter.

-gallon jar with gasketed fliptop lid
-4 cups water
-4 cups 70% isopropyl alcohol
-~1 cup white vinegar
-orange essential oil drops (for smell)
- Spoonful of Dawn dish soap

Mix, toss in 12 microfiber washcloths, soak 'em, close lid.

I need everything everywhere to stop all at once so I can stop talking about them and just have an in depth discussion about Buffy th Vampire Slayer instead, okay?

three panel cartoon by @emilyscartoons.bsky.social … in the first panel one person says "let's not talk about politics any more, I can't bear it" and the other person replies "same." in the second panel, they say nothing. in the third panel, the first person yells "THE THING IS THOUGH" and the second person yells back "THOSE FUCKING IDIOTS"

CHOTINER: So your son is 14, is that right?

IKARI: It's complex, Isaac. If—

CHOTINER: And the “robot” he pilots, that’s actually the child of an alien you keep crucified in the basement, which is possessed by the spirit of his dead mother?

IKARI: Look, let me answer the question.

CHOTINER: Sure.

Tbf, that's been the case for centuries. Half of Arthurian canon is some guy coming along and saying, "Yeah, well *my* knight of the round table is an even better swordsman than Lancelot! And more handsome! And-and both God *and* Arthur love him more, so there!"

my favorite robert redford story is that mike nichols considered him for dustin hoffman's part in THE GRADUATE. during their conversation nichols asked redford something like, "have you ever struck out with a girl?" and redford's response was basically, "i don't understand the question"

Post a team you would send instead of Patel and Bongino
Basil of Baker Street and his sidekick Dawson look at a clue with a magnifying glass (natch). Despite being mice and animated and fictional, they would be much better crime solvers than any chucklefuck in the Trump administration

Ugh, what a loss. Greene was one of those actors who, no matter if it was a serious or comedic role, always seemed like he was having a blast.

RIP Graham Greene. Every time he popped up on screen when I was a kid, my mom would excitedly point him out for being an actual Native on the screen. Able to be deadly serious and infinitely hilarious (even in smaller roles like Last of Us), he ate up the screen. Nʌki’wah brother.

Somewhat related: according to James Murdoch (of those Murdochs, yes), there were several interfamily chats where everyone was speculating who was leaking to the Succession writers' room as the show was so eerily accurate.

It apparently made Rupert even more paranoid than he already was.
