You know the voice in the back of your head that says no one wants to read your book?

Drown it.
Burn it with fire.
Get a bat and start swinging.

Don't let it exist and lie to you. Destroy it and keep writing.

Keep. Writing.

Oldest rocks I’ve walked upon and touched in situ are the Lewisian gneisses only lol 2.7-3 billion We travelled from Skye up to Cape Wrath classic localities for 2 weeks in 1980 Uni trip.

I did like the Torridonian (just on top) too

Some 3.8 billion year old rocks from Isua, Greenland. See alt text for details. These are from a friends collection, sadly they are not mine. #Geology

Funny you should say that, I used to do that as a child so I could think without distraction. In the dark you could imagine you were anywhere, on any world & safe. Trauma does that to you mentally except the ‘safe bit’

Thank you

I hope your book writing and music making goes better than expected - I’m in the midst of preparing to write a novel and could do with going away locking myself in somewhere wild & isolated for a month

I try to keep myself +others safe but people seem difficult sometimes :(

I can’t say this loudly enough. If you have cold like symptoms test because you need to differentiate and even if you don’t have any symptoms test occasionally because asymptomatic is still a thing.

Covid infections have never gone away. Just transparency. When the government declared the Pandemic over they:

Ended testing
Masking
Restricted vaccines
Ended transparency on the stats

It’s not over folks.

Without rest you risk long covid and each infection carries years of long term health risks. Don’t pass this onto your loved ones.

Outdoors CO2 level is around 420ppm. Indoors; if the level is above 800ppm it's an indicator that the ventilation may not be good. It's complex & it's best to monitor for a while but if the level is very high, like over 1500ppm, it's best not to stick around. Research this.

What is the COVID-19 airborne infection probability in an outpatient consultation with four individuals in the room ? A Japanese research team estimated this risk based on the CO2 level in the room. Calculations are also useful for measles, chickenpox, flu ...

CO2 monitors have become popular tools people can use to estimate their indoor air quality.

A new study was recently published that looks into how we can use them to optimise occupancy thresholds and identify problem locations.

Actual practical science!!!

The list is long: many diseases are transmitted through the air we breathe. Good indoor air renewal reduces the risk of contamination, particularly in hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. For more information, visit our website or read our 25-page guide: letsair.org#mediation

A mask to print and stick on the popular ARANET4 CO2 monitor is now available at letsair.org#masks. This helps inform occupants of a premise about the importance of good indoor air renewal to limit the spread of airborne diseases.

We used the results of this article to estimate the risk of airborne contamination during the live concert studied, based on the Air-Score which characterizes the quality of indoor air renewal.

In all indoor environmental scenarios, a positive linear relationship was found between the risk of airborne transmission and indoor CO2 levels. The model suggests that the risk of airborne transmission of measles can be easily predicted using a CO2 meter.

Good Air-Score in this classroom. The ventilation works well and the windows are open when necessary. Teaching in a safe and comfortable environment like this should be the norm in all schools.
