It really is critical that people accept this. You don’t have to understand it, just accept it. The point is literally for kids and people to die. Now, is it foolish that they think THEY are the genetically superior? Sure. But eugenics is definitionally narcissistic and dumb.
RFK is a eugenics freak first and foremost and everything falls downstream from that. he *wants* excess deaths. he thinks that only the "fit" should survive.

In so far as it's a sign, it's a sign that elite academics enjoy mobility that 99% of their colleagues do not, given the absurdities of the academic labor market. If you wanted the "direst sign of bad things to come," that was probably when Mahmoud Khalil got detained.
