The favorite prayer of His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Dji si namkha né pa tang

As long as space endures,

Dro wa dji si né gyour pa

As long as sentient beings remain,

Té si da ni né gyour né

May I, too, remain,

Drowé doug gnèl sèl war cho

To dispel the misery of the world.

May all beings know happiness and the cause of happiness!
May they be forever free from suffering and the cause of suffering!
May they never be deprived of the supreme happiness that is free from suffering!
May they dwell in...

Twenty-four hours a day, every action we do should be done with bodhicitta, not for ourselves but for others. No matter what action we do, if it’s done with the mind cherishing others it’s a Dharma action, one that will lead us to peerless happiness and lead all others to peerless happiness.

One must practice with the bodhisattva attitude every day. People can't see your mind, what people see is a manifestation of your attitude in your actions of body & speech.Pay attention to your attitude all the time, guard it as if you are the police, a nanny who cares for a child, like a bodyguard

How you overcome ordinary thoughts? You must maintain mindfulness & not grasp at whatever arises. No matter which emotion or thought arises, there is only one antidote; mindful awareness. No matter what arises, continue to remain within the natural state of mind.

Use problems as ornaments, seeing them as extremely precious, because they make you achieve enlightenment quickly, by getting you to achieve bodhicitta. Experience these problems on behalf of all sentient beings, giving all happiness to sentient beings. This is the ornament.

Take movies, for example. Sometimes what you see on the screen makes you afraid; sometimes it makes you so sad that you cry. It’s not reality; it’s an illusion. Therefore it’s very important that you remain aware of how the people and things around you affect your mind. Check up.
